Antonio E. Garcia Arts & Education Center Receives ‘Green and Clean’ Award

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – The Antonio E. Garcia Arts & Education Center was honored with the “Green and Clean” award on Tuesday, Jan. 14, at Corpus Christi City Hall by the Mayor’s Advisory Committee on Community Pride. The Garcia Arts & Education Center was recognized for its well-kept property and efforts at revitalizing the community.

“I am so very pleased that the hard work of our employees and volunteers has been recognized by the City of Corpus Christi,” said Dr. Gilda E. Ramirez, Director of the Antonio E. Garcia Arts & Education Center. “We feel very strongly about the positive contributions that we make for this community and are so thankful for all those that participate in making the Garcia Center stronger.”

The recognition took place during the city council meeting. Ramirez, who accepted the award on behalf of the Center, was joined by the Center’s groundskeeper and community volunteers.

The group was presented with a plaque and certificate at the meeting for display at the Antonio E. Garcia Arts & Education Center, located at 2101 Agnes St.
