CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas –Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi has been ranked among the Top 100 Universities in the nation by CollegeAtlas.org for its affordability, academic quality, and accessibility for prospective students.

The “A-List” uses a new ranking methodology to shine a spotlight on colleges and universities that deliver the best academic and economic value to students, while admitting a relatively high percentage of applicants.

“We strive to provide a high-quality education for our students, while keeping tuition costs affordable,” said Dr. Flavius Killebrew, President and CEO of Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. “It’s especially important for us to create access to higher education in South Texas, an area which has been historically underserved.”

CollegeAtlas.org, the encyclopedia of higher education, aims to provide unbiased information about universities, degrees, and academic programs. CollegeAtlas includes rankings that help millions of students decide on the right college. For nearly a decade, CollegeAtlas has been helping aspiring students and education-minded professionals make more informed choices by providing relevant, reliable and up-to-date information about college and higher education opportunities.

The CollegeAtlas “A-List” ranking is the latest accolade conferred on the Island University this year. Recently, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi earned an “A” rating for the strength of its core curriculum in the 2013-2014 “What Will They Learn?” study conducted by the American Council of Trustees and Alumni. The University was also ranked in several categories for “best colleges” by U.S. News and World Report; among the Top 100 Colleges for Hispanics by the Hispanic Outlook in Higher Education Magazine; as a top Texas college for return on investment by the Online College Database; and as “Military Friendly” by GI Jobs magazine.
