CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – Kevin Ramler, a graduate student in the Master of Fine Arts program at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, will showcase his art exhibit “Play On” through Friday, March 29, at Lone Star College-Montgomery in The Mary Matteson-Parrish Art Gallery in The Woodlands, Texas. Ramler’s works combine his interest for music, clay, and function. During the exhibit, visitors are encouraged to play Ramler’s art pieces.

Ramler has created an exhibit of objects ranging from small traditional instruments meant to be played and enjoyed in a musical context to large-scale sculptures that have several interpretations within the area functional ceramics, sculpture, craft, and music.

Ramler serves as student director-at-large on the board of directors for the National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts (NCECA), the largest ceramic arts organization in the United States. For more information about the exhibit, go to http://www.lonestar.edu/news/20768.htm
