U.S. News & World Report Ranks University Graduate Nursing Program Among the Best Online Education Programs

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – The Master of Science in Nursing programs at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi has been ranked as one of the 2013 Best Online Education Programs by U.S. News & World Report.

Texas A&M-Corpus Christi’s graduate nursing program came in at No. 31 out of 101 schools with online programs. Only degree-granting programs offering courses that are 100 percent online were considered for the rankings. The College offers three outstanding completely online MSN tracts: Family Nurse Practitioner, Nursing Education, and Leadership in Nursing Systems.  The College also offers a cooperative Ph.D. program with Texas Woman’s University. These programs were assigned an overall numerical rank based on the following factors: student engagement, faculty credentials and training, and students services and technology.

“Our nursing programs have continued to demonstrate that they are among the best in the nation,” said Dr. Mary Jane Hamilton, Dean of the College of Nursing and Health Sciences. “We are proud to have distinguished faculty who have become pioneers in online tools and learning techniques.”
