CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – “The Alley Cats” and “The Perfect Gentlemen” will take the stage for an evening of nostalgic music and entertainment on Friday, Feb. 3, at 7:30 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center (PAC) at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi.

“The Alley Cats” bring their own contemporary style to the great songs of the ‘50s and ‘60s to the Furgason Bravo! Series presentation. “The Perfect Gentlemen,” who are making their first appearance at the PAC, recall the classic days of vaudeville with a perfect blend of harmony and humor.

Since 1987, “The Alley Cats” have entertained audiences across the nation with lively humor, engaging stories, and audience participation that appeals to young and old alike. Tight harmonies, universal humor, and unbelievable a cappella energy have made “The Alley Cats” America's premier doo-wop group.

“The Perfect Gentlemen” recreate the close harmonies of such legendary groups as the “Ink Spots” and the “Pied Pipers” while including the era’s great comic songs made famous by the likes of Louis Jordan and the “Hoosier Hotshots.” Their signature piece, “Salute to the 20th Century,” is a humorous take on the de-evolution of music over the last century, illustrated by singing the same song in the style of barbershop, Dixieland, blues, big band, doo-wop, bluegrass, disco, techno punk, and rap.

Tickets range from $26 to $36; $7 for children and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi students with their SandDollar$ ID. To purchase tickets, go to http://tamucc.tix.com; or call 361.825.2787 (ARTS). For more information, go to http://pac.tamucc.edu.
