| NCAA Makes Notice of Inquiry on University’s Intercollegiate Athletics |
CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi announced today (May 6) that the National Collegiate Athletic Association is currently reviewing possible violations of NCAA rules by the University’s intercollegiate athletics program.
The notice of inquiry sent by the NCAA involves incidents that may have occurred beginning in 2004.
“We take this inquiry very seriously, and the University is cooperating fully to support the NCAA in its ongoing inquiry,” said President Flavius Killebrew.
After receiving the notice of inquiry, President Killebrew appointed a committee to help focus the university’s efforts in its work with the NCAA’s enforcement staff and outside consultants during the inquiry.
Due to this ongoing inquiry, the University does not anticipate releasing additional information until its conclusion.
