CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – Students from area school districts will display their projects during the 20th annual Coastal Bend Science Fair Saturday, May 3, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. in both the University Center, Lone Star Ballroom and the Moody Sustainers Field House at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi.
The fair is the final competition for kindergarten through eighth-grade students who have competed in science fairs in their school districts. Exhibits will be categorized by grade with approximately 800 students competing for ribbons and medals.
An overall winner selected from kindergarten through fourth grade will receive a trophy and a $1,000 scholarship to A&M-Corpus Christi. The overall winner for fifth through eighth grades will receive the Diana I. Marinez award, which includes a trophy and a $1,000 scholarship to the University. |
