CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – Around 20 local elementary and middle school students in the National Youth Sports Program (NYSP) at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi will learn how to kayak Monday, June 23, from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Little Bay in Rockport.
The instruction will be led by Dr. Jim Needham, dean of community outreach, and Joe Miller, director of education and youth issues, at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.
During the field trip, students also will learn about water safety, how to paddle and plants and animals in the area. Little Bay is near the Texas Maritime Museum. |
