WHAT: Homecoming and Parents’ Weekend 2008 Kick-Off Picnic

WHEN: Monday, Jan. 28, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

WHERE: Lee Plaza, Located between the Mary and Jeff Bell Library and Corpus Christi Hall

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – The campus community will participate in a variety of activities including a timed basketball shootout and a relay race during the 2008 Homecoming and Parents’ Weekend Kick-Off Picnic Monday, Jan. 28, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in Lee Plaza at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi.

Food and games begin at 11:30 a.m., followed by a cheer and dance performance by the Islander cheerleaders at 12:15 p.m., a Homecoming Court presentation at 12:30 p.m. and a relay race at 1 p.m. Other games will include “Spear the UTSA Roadrunner” and a Hi Striker, a carnival favorite in which one swings a hammer in attempt of ringing a bell at the top of the tower.
