CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas –The Department of Music at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi will present guest artist flute and guitar master classes and a concert by The Ciraldo Duo Saturday, Jan. 19.
The flute and guitar master classes will be held from 10 a.m. to noon in the Center for the Arts, Rooms 127 and 136. At 7:30 p.m., The Ciraldo Duo will perform a spring concert featuring works by Bach, De Falla, Castelnuovo-Tedesco and Piazzolla in the Performing Arts Center.
The duo is Rachel Taratoot Ciraldo, principal flutist of the Baton Rouge Symphony Orchestra, and Nicholas Ciraldo, assistant professor of guitar at the University of Southern Mississippi. The duo has performed at the Hampden-Sydney Music Festival, the Boston Flute Association Flute Fair, the Simsbury Chamber Music Festival, the Boston Classical Guitar Society Guitar Festival and the National Flute Association Annual Convention.
