CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – The College of Education at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi will co-sponsor a Graffiti Art Project workshop on stencil techniques Saturday, Feb. 23, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Antonio E. Garcia Arts and Education Center, 2021 Agnes St.

Around 25 teens will design stencils and learn non-destructive, non-permanent alternatives to tagging, including mud and moss. Tagging is defined as images or lettering scratched, scrawled, painted or marked in any manner on property.
The Graffiti Art Project is a community-based social action program for teens 14 and older to curb the problem of graffiti in Corpus Christi by providing a legal avenue for artistic expression, while teaching them about the consequences and dangers of the crime.
