Islander String Quartet to Take Their Dulcet Melodies Outdoors

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas –The Islander String Quartet at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi will perform during a “Luncheon on the Grass” concert Wednesday, Nov. 7, from noon to 1 p.m. in La Retama Park, located on the 500 block of Mesquite Street, between Schatzell and Peoples Streets, in downtown Corpus Christi.

The University-based Islander String Quartet is violinists José Flores and Kathleen Kono, violist Melissa Meléndez and cellist Susan Sturman.

The free fall series of concerts is sponsored by the Corpus Christi Downtown Management District, a state-authorized improvement district established and governed by property owners to influence and enhance a positive environment for downtown Corpus Christi’s economic base.
