WHAT: Groundbreaking Ceremony for New Building to House Nursing and Health Sciences

WHEN: Wednesday, Nov. 14, at 3:30 p.m.

WHERE: Near the Tennis Courts at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – University President Flavius Killebrew along with elected state officials and Texas A&M University System dignitaries will break ground Wednesday, Nov. 14, at 3:30 p.m. near the campus tennis courts for the new $45 million building that will house the university’s nursing and health sciences programs.

Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst and State Sen. Juan “Chuy” Hinojosa will be guest speakers at the groundbreaking ceremony for the 140,000-square-foot building that will also include space for kinesiology, athletic training and wellness activities.
Ceremonial dignitaries will include A&M System Chancellor Michael D. McKinney, A&M System Board of Regents Chairman Bill Jones, Regent John White and State Reps. Abel Herrero, Juan Garcia and Solomon Ortiz Jr.
