CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi’s College of Education and the Westside Business Association will co-host the 24th annual “Navidad de los Niños” (Children’s Christmas Festival) Saturday, Dec. 1, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Antonio E. Garcia Arts and Education Center, 2021 Agnes St.
Every year, the Christmas festival draws more than 1,000 children and parents. Children may have portraits taken with Santa and enjoy cookie and ornament decorating and face painting through various activity booths. Music and entertainment will be provided by the Garcia Center’s Falcon Folklorico, hip-hop dance team Hyper Squad and Ballet Folklorico Amistad.
Other event highlights are to include book giveaways, children’s activities, refreshments and family fun. Children will receive a small toy and goodie bag, and have the chance to win giveaways of bicycles, safety helmets and Leap Frog games.
