Elementary Science Teachers from 19 School Districts to Receive Data Logging Training during Professional Development Class

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – The Educational Center for Math and Science at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi will hold an “Our Earth Changes over Time” professional development class for kindergarten through fifth grade science teachers, Friday, Nov. 9, and Saturday, Nov. 10.

The more than 40 participants from 19 area school districts and the University’s Early Childhood Development Center will receive training on data loggers, hand-held technology that can be used by elementary school students to collect daily weather data.

Friday’s training will be held from 8:30 to 3 p.m. in the Educational Center for Math and Science adjacent to the Early Childhood Development Center. Saturday’s training will be held from 8:30 to 3 p.m. in the Harte Research Institute for Gulf of Mexico Studies.
