‘Visual Dialogues III: Sights, Sites and Cites’ Expresses Relationships between Artistic Processes and Techniques
Exhibit to feature variety of mediums employed by professors and students
 
CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas –The Department of Art at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi will hold an opening reception for “Visual Dialogues III: Sights, Sites and Cites of TAMU-CC Art Faculty, Students and Beyond” and “Ahead of Their Time: Area High School Students” Friday, June 1 at 6 p.m. at the Islander Art Gallery, 4024 Weber Road in the Hamlin Center.  
           
The “Visual Dialogues III” exhibit, which will run through Saturday, July 28, will include works by University professors Bruno Andrade, Mark Anderson, Amanda Dieter-Garcia, Louis Katz, Gregory Reuter, Barbra Riley and Carey Rote. Mediums utilized include print-making, painting, photography, graphic design, drawing, ceramics and sculpture. 
           
“This exhibition features works of art by Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi’s highly accomplished art professors and their most talented, up-and-coming students,” said Gallery Assistant Sarah Eckols. “These works express the visual relationships between the processes and techniques used by art faculty and their students.”

 In conjunction with the Visual Dialogues exhibition, Coastal Currents will present “Ahead of Their Time: Area High School Students” featuring the outstanding works of local high school youth. The works will be displayed through Saturday, June 30. Islander Art Gallery hours are Wednesday from noon to 3 p.m. and Thursday through Saturday from noon to 6 p.m. For more information, call 361.852.3350.
