Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi Office of Graduate Studies to hold Open House for Prospective Students

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – The Office of Graduate Studies and Research at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi will host the “2007 Graduate Open House” Wednesday, March 28 from 1 to 7 p.m. in the University Center Lone Star Ballroom. The open house is held once a year and provides information on graduate school opportunities.

Currently, A&M-Corpus Christi offers 27 graduate degree programs. Participants can meet with academic advisors, professors, students, and financial aid representatives. Information packets on the various programs will be available.

  • College of Liberal Arts - offers master’s degrees in studio arts, English, history, psychology and public administration.
  • College of Business - offers master’s degrees in business administration and accounting.
  • College of Education - offers master’s degrees in counseling, curriculum and instruction, early childhood education, educational administration, educational technology, elementary education, kinesiology, reading, secondary education and special education. The doctoral programs include a Ph.D. in counselor education and Ed.D.s in educational leadership and curriculum and instruction.
  • College of Nursing - offers master’s degree in nursing.
  • College of Science and Technology - offers master’s degrees in biology, computer science, environmental science, mariculture, mathematics and a Ph. D. coastal and marine system science.

There will be numerous door prizes, refreshments, and drawings for one-half off the graduate application fee. Applicants must pre-register online to be eligible for the grand prize drawing. For more information, e-mail or go to
