Students to Share Original Poetry, Music and Dance Moves During the ‘Que Pasa Open Mic Night’ at Garcia Center

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – Middle and high school students from across the Coastal Bend will display their artistic talents through music, dance and poetry during the “Que Pasa Open Mic Night” Friday, June 15, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Antonio E. Garcia Arts and Education Center.

Throughout the evening, students will recite original poetry and prose, play musical instruments and show off their hip-hop dance moves. The event, sponsored by the University’s College of Education, is free and open to the public.

“These events provide young students in our community an avenue to help cultivate, nurture and foster their creative and artistic talents,” said Roberto Garcia, director of the Antonio E. Garcia Arts & Education Center.
