WHO: Approximately 700 Candidates for Graduation from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi’s Five Colleges

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – Bill Jones, chairman of the Texas A&M System Board of Regents, will be the keynote speaker at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi’s fall commencement Saturday, Dec. 15, at 10:30 a.m. at the American Bank Center arena.

Jones was appointed to the board in 2003 and became chairman earlier this year. He earned his bachelor’s degree in business management from Texas A&M University and his juris doctor from Baylor University School of Law. He is a partner in the Austin law firm of Vinson and Elkins, L.L.P.

Jones will address around 700 new graduates, their families and friends. The ceremony will include students from the Colleges of Business, Education, Liberal Arts, Nursing and Health Sciences, and Science and Technology.
