CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas –The Pollution Prevention Partnership (P3) at Texas A&M University-Corpus Chrisiti and the Beautify Corpus Christi Association will hold a Clean Air Fair Saturday, Aug. 4, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Sames Crow Ford on Crosstown Expressway.
P3 will offer free vehicle emissions screening using “AutoCheck,” a state-of-the-art engine analyzer that quickly identifies vehicles that are discharging harmful pollutants into the air. When a high-polluting automobile is identified, “AutoCheck” will schedule the vehicle for repairs at a participating garage, typically with no cost to the owner.
There will also be free barbeque and soft drinks, live music, raffles for bikes and fans, children’s activities and hybrid cars and SUVs to test drive.
