CORPUS CHRISTI – The Clearinghouse for Mexican-American Research will present a lecture titled “Health Disparities: A Writer’s and a Scientist’s Perspectives” Monday, April 16 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the University Center, Lone Star Ballroom.
Featured speakers will be Cornell University professor Helena Maria Viramontes, noted author and winner of the 2006 Luis Leal Prize for Distinction in Chicano/Latina Literature, and Eloy Rodriguez, an endowed Cornell University professor and research scientist in chemical biology and environmental health.
The event, co-sponsored by the Title V Program, College of Science and Technology and the College of Liberal Arts, is free and open to the public. |
