Murphey’s Cowboy Christmas, Tiratto’s Sinatra Salute Tickets on Sale to Public Oct. 23 |
CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – Tickets go on sale to the public Oct. 23 for Michael Martin Murphey’s popular Cowboy Christmas Show held Dec. 1 and Tom Tiratto’s Valentine’s Day Big Band Salute to Frank Sinatra held Feb. 14.
The two programs form this season’s Furgason Bravo! Series for the Performing Arts held at the Performing Arts Center at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. Both performances are at 8 p.m.
Award-winning Murphey is credited as the nation’s singing cowboy poet. He is the best-selling singer-songwriter of American Cowboy Music and has earned the honor of being the most respected singer-songwriter in the pop and country-western music fields. His song, “Wildfire,” reached No. 1 on the Radio and Records chart and No. 3 on Billboard’s pop chart.
Corpus Christi is the first stop of Murphey’s 40-city national tour this holiday season. His performance follows A&M-Corpus Christi’s inaugural Islander Lights lighting ceremony, a part of the city’s annual Harbor Lights Celebration. The Corpus Christi performance of the Cowboy Christmas Show is sponsored in part by Whataburger Inc. and KFTX 97.3 Real Country Radio.
Valentine’s Day Feb. 14 marks the appearance of Tom Tiratto’s Big Band Salute to Frank Sinatra. Tiratto, an actor and vocalist, has devoted the past 15 years to recreating the music and glamour of Frank Sinatra. His Las Vegas-style performance features Sinatra’s signature hits “I’ve Got You Under My Skin,” “New York-New York,” “My Way” and “My Kind of Town.”
Tickets prices for each show range from $10 to $30, with $5 tickets available for children, K-12 students, and college students. Tickets are available through www.ticketweb.com or by calling (361) 825-ARTS (2787). |
