Garcia Arts and Education Center, 2021 Agnes St. Photos of Children Seeking Adoption to be on Display at Opening Reception Heart Gallery of South Texas Exhibition   CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – The Office of Community Outreach at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi will host an opening-reception for the "Heart Gallery of South Texas” Friday, Nov. 3 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Antonio E. Garcia Arts and Education Center, 2021 Agnes St. The Heart Gallery of South Texas, an exhibition featuring photos of local foster children seeking permanent adoptive families, highlights children who are considered more challenging to place because of their age (nine years or older) or because they are part of a sibling group that wants to be placed together. The photos were taken by Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi graduate student Jennifer Arnold and alumnae Jessica Doege and Dianitza Joseph. Arnold will be available for interviews along with students who wrote the biographies.  In addition, Judge Carl Lewis will speak on “Creating Brighter Futures for Foster Children.” Lewis will also present a photograph to an adoptive mother and her new daughter from last year’s gallery.
