A&M-Corpus Christi Engineering Technology Students Present End of Year Projects

Graduating seniors from the Department of Engineering Technology will present their class projects during a presentation on Monday, May 1 from 12 to 12:30 p.m. in the Science and Technology Building, Room 118.

At the beginning of the semester students were partnered with an industrial firm and assigned a project needed by the firm. The students will present the following projects.

  • Bio-diesel Fuel, diesel fuel from edible or non-edible oils;
  • Air Conditioned Lawn Mower, an air conditioner that runs off a lawn mower engine to cool a cabin for the rider;
  • Fishing Reel Work Stand, a work stand for fishing enthusiasts and professionals to do repair and maintenance of fishing reels;
  • An Improved Control System for a Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV), a remotely controlled boat with full function video camera, GPS and real time data transmission on depth of water;
  • Real-time Position Tracking System, an optical laser tracking system that would eventually be used on space stations to detect location of damage from micrometeorites;
  • Lift Station Simulation, small scale version of how lift-stations work in clear and waste water services to large communities.
