Graduating Seniors to Receive Diplomas during Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi’s 2006 Spring Commencement

Approximately 715 students from the University’s five colleges will receive their diplomas during Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi’s Spring 2006 Commencement on Saturday, May 13 at 1:30 p.m. at the American Bank Center Arena.
Senior Renee DeLaTorre, who will graduate Summa Cum Laude with a bachelor’s degree in biology, will deliver the keynote address. Following graduation, DeLaTorre will attend the University of Texas Heath Science Center in San Antonio where she will pursue her goal of becoming a doctor.

DeLaTorre is the second student chosen to deliver the commencement keynote address under a new tradition established by A&M-Corpus Christi President Flavius Killebrew. Outstanding students, faculty and members of the community deliver the keynote address on a rotating basis.
