Students in Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi Summer Photography Camp to Hold Photo Shoot at Botanical Gardens

Students entering grades eight through 11 participating in the Youth Adventure Program Photography Camp at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi will take part in a photo shoot at the Corpus Botanical Gardens and Nature Center at 8545 South Staples from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 27.

Instructors will lead the students through the gardens and greenhouses while teaching them about composition and lighting. Each student will shoot one roll of black and white film.

During the photography camp, students are taking photographs each day while exploring the tropical setting of the University, the city, and the surrounding coastal landscape. Classroom activities include the history of photography, the camera, light and exposure, composition, black-and-white film processing and darkroom printing techniques.
