Baylor Associate Athletics Director second of four finalists to visit campus
William Chaves, Jr., one of four finalists for the position of athletics director at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, will be available to meet with media on Tuesday, June 6 from 5 to 5:30 p.m. in the Matagorda Room of the Omni Bayfront Hotel.
Chaves has served as associate athletics director for external affairs at Baylor University since 2004. During that time, he has supervised a staff of nine full-time employees in the areas of marketing, sales, ticketing, athletic licensing and women’s volleyball. Prior to joining Baylor in 2004, he spent two years as associate athletics director-development at the University of Massachusetts.
Chaves graduated from Saint Thomas University with a degree in sports administration in 1988 and earned a master’s degree in health, physical education and leisure from Oklahoma State University. In 1999, he received a master’s in sports management degree from the University of Massachusetts. |
