Media to Have Opportunity to Meet Final Candidate for Position of Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi Athletics Director
Troy University Associate Athletics Director Scott Farmer, one of four finalists for the position of athletics director at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, will be available to meet with media on Monday, June 19 from 5 to 5:30 p.m. in the Matagorda Room of the Omni Bayfront Hotel.
Farmer has been senior associate director of athletics for internal affairs at Troy University since 1999 where he has supervised the day-to-day operation of the athletics department, preparing and overseeing the athletics department budget and coordinating with the director on the planning, implementation and administration of the University’s 16 NCAA Division I-A programs. After graduating from Georgia Southern with a degree in health and physical education, he earned his master’s in sports management from the University and, in 1990, joined the Georgia Southern athletics department as assistant director.
