Seventh Annual “Remembering the Dream March” to Honor the Life and Legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

The seventh annual “Remembering the Dream March” commemorating the birthday of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. will take place at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 18 on the east lawn of the Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi University Center. The march, hosted by the A&M-Corpus Christi African-American Cultural Society (AACS) and the Islander Cultural Alliance, is also in memory of civil rights activist Rosa Parks. Actor and motivational speaker Brandon Pratt will deliver the keynote address at a reception immediately following the march in the University Center, Lonestar Ballroom.

The AACS is a 30-member student organization whose goal is to raise awareness of the positive aspects of the African-American culture.
