Student groups compete in this singing and dancing extravaganza. The winning student groups from two categories, performing and non-performing, will each receive a $1,000 cash prize. WHAT:           Islander Parents and Alumni Awards Brunch

The Islander Parents and Alumni Awards Brunch will recognize outstanding alumni, students, faculty, parents and former athletes at this annual brunch. WHAT:           Islander Block Party
WHEN:          Saturday, Feb. 4 from 5 to 7 p.m.
WHERE:        American Bank Center, Reseca Street entrance                   
 
The Islander Block Party will feature live music, face painting for kids, clowns and inflatable activities such as a full rush obstacle course, hydraulic rock wall and basketball challenge. The Islander women’s basketball team will be on hand to sign autographs. Food and drink items for sale. The event is free and open to people of all ages. American Bank Center, Reseca Street entrance, 5 to 7 p.m. Sponsored by the Alumni Association.
