A&M-Corpus Christi Announces Candidates for Position of Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs

A campus search committee for the position of Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi has announced the names of four candidates who will be brought to campus for interviews.

The candidates are listed in alphabetical order followed by the dates of their campus visits:

• Elliott Pood, dean, Office of Arts & Letters, University of Southern Mississippi, Hattiesburg, MS, April 23-25
• Judith Walker de Félix, associate provost, University of Missouri-St. Louis, St. Louis, MO,  April 25-27
• Yiping Wan, dean, Bagwell College of Education & Head, Professional Teacher Ed Unit, Kennesaw State University, Roswell, GA, May 7-9
• Virginia Wheeless, dean, College of Arts & Sciences, Central Missouri State University, Warrensburg, MO,
  April 30-May 2
  
  Members of the search committee are: Dr. Harvey Knull, chair; Dr. Moustafa Abdelsamad; Lori Balerio; Dr. Bilaye Benibo; Dr. Valrie Chambers; Margaret Dechant; Dr. John Fernandez; Dr. Trent Hill; Dr. Diana Ivy; Dr. Frank Lucido; Dr. Richard Ricard; Christine Shupala; and Dr. Judith Sutherland.
  
  The search committee screened 52 applications to arrive at the pool of finalists.  President Flavius C. Killebrew hopes to fill the position by fall 2006.
