Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi to Hold Reception for Journal that Promotes Chicano and Mexican Literature

The College of Arts and Humanities at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi will hold a reception honoring “Puentes: Revista de literatura, cultura y arte,” a journal that promotes Chicano and Mexican literature, culture and art on Friday, Oct. 28 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the University Center, Legacy Room.

The reception will feature poetry, narrative, music, and dance to celebrate the third publication of the annual journal founded in 2003. Keynote speaker will be Rolando Hinojosa-Smith, author of the award-winning novels “Klail City” and “The Valley.”

The journal, which includes works in Spanish and English, is funded equally by the University’s College of Arts and Humanities, the Office of the Provost and donations from private sponsors.
