Media Interview and Photo Opportunity to Take Place Today for Heart Gallery of South Texas Exhibit

A “Heart Gallery of South Texas” media interview and photo opportunity preview will take place on Wednesday, Oct. 26 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Jezebelle’s at the Art Center, 100 Shoreline Blvd. Available for interviews will be the Heart Gallery foster children, Janice Washington, foster adoption recruiter, as well as A&M-Corpus Christi student Jessica Doege and alumna Dianitza Joseph who photographed the exhibit.

The exhibit features 21 framed 12” x 16” portraits of local children seeking permanent adoptive families. The children chosen to be part of the exhibit are considered more challenging to place because of their age (nine years or older) or because they are a sibling group that wants to be placed together.

The public is invited to attend the “Heart Gallery of South Texas” opening reception on Thursday, Oct. 27 from 6-8 p.m. at Jezebelle’s. The exhibit will be on display through Nov. 27, in recognition of National Adoption month.
