Dr. Don Walsh to be Next Speaker in Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi’s Harte Distinguished Lecturer Series

Dr. Don Walsh, will be the next speaker in Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi’s Edward H. Harte Distinguished Lecturer Series on Tuesday, March 22 at 7 p.m. in the University Center, Lone Star Ballroom.

Walsh, a veteran of more than 40 arctic and Antarctic expeditions, will recount many of his adventures in the address titled “Into the Far Depths: A Personal Ocean Odyssey” The lecture and the post-speech reception are free and open to the public.

In 1960, Dr. Walsh’s unequaled dive to the bottom of the ocean, earned him the Legion of Merit. The Life Magazine book “The Greatest Adventures of All Time” named him as one of the century’s great explorers.
