6th Annual “Telling Our Grandmothers’ Stories” to Feature Over 200 Exhibits at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi

Entries from the public will be part of the exhibit for the first time

Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi will host the 6th Annual “Telling Our Grandmothers’ Stories” exhibition on Wednesday, March 23, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. in the University Center, Lone Star Ballroom. This year’s event will feature exhibit items from over 200 participants.

For the first time since it began six years ago, event organizers have accepted entries from the public, including students from Carroll High School, Miller High School and Flour Bluff Middle School.

“Telling Our Grandmothers’ Stories” is sponsored by A&M-Corpus Christi Women’s Center and is free and open to the public. Libby Averyt, vice president of the Corpus Christi Caller-Times, and Venessa Santos-Garza, news reporter for the Caller-Times, will speak about their grandmothers at noon.
