Students from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi Marine Ecology Class to Conduct 24-Hour Study of Oso Bay

The Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi Marine Ecology class taught by Dr. David McKee will conduct a 24-hour study of Oso Bay beginning on Friday, Jan. 28 at noon next to the Naval Air Station Bridge on Ocean Drive

Thirty five students will be divided into teams and will employ various biological gears and water testing equipment every four hours until Saturday at noon. On Friday night, the students will camp out at the University Compound where all of the samples will be picked, identified and counted.

Following the study, the students will write an in-depth research paper on the results and will compare this study to the data compiled during previous studies over the last 15 years.
