Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi’s P3 AutoCheck to Screen Emissions of Classic and High-Performance Vehicles The Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi Pollution Prevention Partnership’s (P3) AutoCheck will screen the classic cars and high performance cars of the Coastal Bend Ford & Mustang Club at the A&W Family Restaurant located at 5617 Saratoga Blvd. on Jan. 8 from 6-8 p.m. AutoCheck, part of the A&M-Corpus Christi’s Pollution Prevention Partnership (P3), is a state-of-the-art vehicle health monitor samples the exhaust of passing cars and provides feedback to the driver instantly using a colorful roadside electronic sign. AutoCheck can help drivers make decisions about when to tune up their vehicles, how to keep the South Texas air clean and how to save money through greater fuel efficiency. AutoCheck is a powerful tool to teach the public about the connection between car maintenance, simple changes in the way we use our cars and trucks, and savings at the pump. |
