Concert to Highlight Projects Recorded by Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi Music Students
The Music Department at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi will host an open house for the new recording studio located on the third floor of the  Performing Arts Center on Sunday, Dec. 11. The open house will begin at 5:30 p.m. followed by a concert at 7 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center lobby.

The event will feature a tour of the studio, which includes an 18-workstation lab and recording system equipped with state-or-the-art audio processing hardware and software. Staff and students will be on hand to demonstrate the equipment and to answer questions about the lab. The concert at 7 p.m. will highlight projects recorded by the students enrolled in the upper-level recording class including compositions that span the range of genres from classical, to rock, to anime, to several compositions that defy description. Projects will be displayed on a large projection screen, played through a Bose sound system and accompanied by a light show.

The open house is free and open to the public. For more information, call 361-825-5659.
