Candidates for graduation from the University’s five colleges will receive their diplomas during Texas A&M-Corpus Christi’s Summer 2005 Commencement on Saturday, Aug. 6 at 1:30 p.m. at the American Bank Center Arena.

Dr. Diana Ivy, a professor of Communications in the University’s College of Arts and Humanities, will deliver the keynote address. Ivy, a member of the University faculty since 1994, is the first professor to be chosen for the honor under a new tradition established last spring by A&M-Corpus Christi President Flavius Killebrew where outstanding students, faculty and members of the community will deliver the keynote address on a rotating basis.
