Traditionally, A&M-Corpus Christi baccalaureate students who have achieved academic distinction are presented with honor cords prior to graduation. Honor students must have completed at least 45 undergraduate semester hours with a GPA based on the cumulative average for all courses. Summa Cum Laude graduates (3.9 or above) receive a silver cord. Magna Cum Laude graduates (3.7 to 3.899) receive a blue cord and Cum Laude graduates (3.6 to 3.699) receive green cords.
