Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi National Spill Control School to Conduct Hazardous Material Training Exercise

WHEN:   Thursday, Nov. 4, 2004 from 1-3 p.m.

WHERE:  Carlos F. Truan Natural Resources Center Dock/Garage Area

The National Spill Control School at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi will conduct a hazardous material training exercise on Thursday, Nov. 4 from 1-3 p.m. at the Carlos F. Truan Natural Resources Center dock/garage area.

The exercise for the students in the National Spill Control School’s 40-hour OSHA/RCRA (Occupational Health and Safety Act/Resource Conservation and Recovery Act) training class will be a full personal protective equipment (moon suit) mock hazmat scenario in which participants must contain and decontaminate a chemical or other hazardous material spill.
