Wild &Wacky Wednesday to Promote a Safe Spring Break
Safe Communities Coalition will be on hand with roll-over simulator,
goggles
Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi will hold its annual “Wild & Wacky
Wednesday” tomorrow, March 10 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the University
Center East Lawn adjacent to the University Center. There will be games,
free food, and free t-shirts for students participating in three or more
educational activities. In addition, The University Health Center will
provide information on sexual safety.
The Safe Communities Coalition, under the direction of Dr. Liz Sefcik
and Dr. Phil Rhoades, in conjunction with the Texas Department of Transportation
(TxDOT), will be on hand with the automobile roll-over simulator, DWI
goggles and prizes. Students will be invited to sign pledges to not drink
over spring break—or have a designated driver. The objective of
Safe Communities and TxDOT is to Sav-a-Life.
The event is sponsored by the Recreational Sports Natural High Program
