Club to Demonstrate Basic Horsemanship for Prospective Riders
Riders from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi’s Equestrian
Club will demonstrate basic horsemanship skills Tuesday, March 9 from11
a.m.until1 p.m.on the East Lawn between University Center and the Field
House.
Equestrian Club members will perform both English and Western-style riding
to promote awareness of the club and give information to students about
the Basic Horsemanship and Equestrian Class to be offered for the first
time during the first 2004 summer semester.
The Equestrian Club was established in 2001 and, in just its second year
of competition, its team finished 10th out of 16 teams in the Intercollegiate
Horse Show Association’s (IHSA) Region 7, Zone 2. Other schools
competing included Texas A&M, Texas Tech, Louisiana State, Oklahoma
State and Trinity universities. |
