Reception to kick off “Image Bearer,” an Exhibition by Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi Student Artist Jay Walker
Four Years of Intensive Study Culminate in Bachelor of Fine Arts Show

An opening reception forSouth Texas artist Jay Walker will be held at the Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi Center for the Arts on Thursday, April 8 from 6-8 p.m.

Walker’s work, which has appeared in shows and galleries throughout the Coastal Bend as well as on the A&M-Corpus Christi campus, will be displayed in his “Image Bearer” exhibit which will run from Thursday, April 8 through Monday, April 26 on the second floor of the Center for the Arts. The show will feature oil on canvas, lithographs and a new series of small works on paper.

Works by Walker, a senior at A&M-Corpus Christi, have been displayed at numerous group exhibitions since 2000. The “Image Bearer” is his third solo exhibition.

The exhibition is free and open to the public.
