Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi Concert
Band to Honor Late Professor as Part of Musical Performance
The Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi Concert Band will pay a musical
tribute to the late Dr. James W. Carlsen during a performance on Wednesday,
March 3 at 7:30 p.m.in the University Center Lone Star Ballroom.
As part of the tribute to the late Professor of Communications
and Theatre who passed away last year, University Theatre Director J.
Don Luna will
read the poem, “Do Not Go Gentle Into That Good Night” by
Dylan Thomas. The performance by the Concert Band, directed by Dr. John
Wojcik, will feature pieces by Nicholas Rimsky-Korsakov, Anthony Iannacone,
John Philip Sousa and Malcolm Arnold.
The concert,
the first in a series during March, is free and open to the public. For more
