Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi to Honor the Late Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. with Remembering the Dream March 

The African-American Cultural Society and Island Cultural Alliance at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi will honor the life of the late Dr. Martin Luther King with the 5th annual “Remembering the Dream” march on Wednesday, Jan. 21. The on-campus march will start at11 a.m.outside the Center for the Arts nearWave Crest Driveand finish in front of theUniversityCenter.

The event, which is open to the public, will be attended by University students and faculty as well as leaders from the community. Also participating will be the Ray High School National Junior ROTC and the West Oso High School Mighty Bear Band, flag corps, dance team, and cheerleaders.

Following the procession, there will be a reception in the University Center Lonestar Ballroom featuring guest Speaker Dr. Victor Frazier, instructional coordinator for the Adult Education Department of the Corpus Christi school district. Frazier’s topic will be King’s message and how it continues to have a positive affect on both the nation and the rest of the world.
