College of Education Dean Dee Hopkins, University faculty, and area educators will be among the participating dignitaries when Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi breaks ground for the College of Education’s new $3 million Math and Science building on Friday, Dec. 3 at 10 a.m. Wielding shovels along with Dr. Hopkins will be Drs. Margaret Bolik and Denise Hill of the College of Education, Don Greer of Durrant Architect, Barnes Elementary pre-service teacher Rebecca Price, Flour Bluff Middle School teacher Cliff Strain, Gary Leach of the Blanche Davis Moore Foundation and Jacqueline Bolden, president of the Early Childhood Development Center Student Council. In addition, 28 pre-K through 4th grade students from the University’s Early Childhood Center will give a demonstration of weather forecasting using skills they’ve learned in the classroom. |
