Dr. Robert R. Furgason, who guided Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi through 14 years of unprecedented growth, will deliver the commencement speech during the University’s Fall 2004 graduation ceremony on Saturday, Dec. 18 at 10:30 a.m. at the American Bank Center Arena.
Approximately 575 graduates from the University’s five colleges will participate in the first commencement ceremony at the new Arena. The ceremony will be Furgason’s last as president of A&M-Corpus Christi. In January, he will take over as director of the University’s Harte Research Institute for Gulf of Mexico Studies.
