Dangers of Driving While Drowsy to be Addressed at Seminar Sponsored by Nueces County Safe Communities Coalition

In order to promote safe driving by students during their drive home for the Christmas holidays, the Nueces County Safe Communities Coalition will give a presentation on “Drowsy Driving” on Wednesday, Dec. 8 at 5:30 p.m. at the Camden Miramar Apartments clubhouse on the Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi campus. The presentation will be given by Dr. Philip Rhoades, professor in the College of Arts and Humanities.

The 20-minute presentation will encompass aspects from how to get enough rest before you start driving, to when is the proper time to pull over and get some sleep. Safe Communities and Camden Apartments feel it is important for the students/residents to obtain this knowledge, to help make their drive home this Christmas much safer.
