Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi to Showcase Ensembles         

The Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi College of Arts and Humanities and University President Robert R. Furgason will host a Musical Showcase Reception for donors on Thursday, April 22 from 5:30-7:15 p.m. at the South Texas Institute for the Arts, 1902 Shoreline Blvd.

Music will precede the reception beginning at 5:20 p.m. when the University’s steel drum band performs on the front steps of the museum. At 5:30 p.m., there will be piano duos in the main gallery followed by Mendelssohn duets.

From 6-6:15 p.m., soloists Jenny Mendez (clarinet) and Eddie Carrizales (saxophone) will perform as will the clarinet and bassoon duo of Michael Perez and Trey Mirelez. In addition, Perez and Mirelez will team with Mendez for a woodwind trio. The showcase will conclude with guitar solos by Aaron Flores and Jose Macias and a performance by the jazz combo from 6:45-7:15 pm.
